Earned Merit Position (EMP)
What is Earned Merit Position (EMP)?
Overview
The Earned Merit Position (EMP) is an alternative enrollment option that allows a member to begin building their Iskander business without initially purchasing a mining package.
Instead of immediately becoming an active miner, the member earns the opportunity to activate their mining account by meeting specific sponsorship and qualification requirements.
EMP is not intended to replace paid mining packages. Paid mining packages remain the fastest and premium way to begin mining and earning commissions.
The entire EMP process is fully automated from enrollment through mining activation.
Where Can Members Select EMP?
Members may select the Earned Merit Position from either:
• The standard Public Enrollment page.
• The Add a Miner (Red Carport) section inside their Member Dashboard.
Regardless of where EMP is selected, the same rules, qualifications, automation, and activation process apply.
What Happens When Someone Enrolls as an EMP?
Immediately after enrollment:
✅ The member receives a position in the genealogy tree.
✅ The member can immediately begin sponsoring new members.
✅ The member can begin building their organization.
✅ The member accumulates qualifying volume and activity.
However, the member will not:
• Begin mining.
• Receive commission payouts.
• Select a Commission Preference (USDC, TXC or Hash Power).
Their account remains in Merit Pending status until they complete all qualification requirements.
Merit Qualification Requirements
To activate their mining account, the member must complete all of the following:
• Personally sponsor one Active Paid Member on the Left.
• Personally sponsor one Active Paid Member on the Right.
• Reach 3 qualifying points on the Left.
• Reach 3 qualifying points on the Right.
All four requirements must be completed before activation occurs.
Important Clarification
The two personally sponsored members must be Active Paid Members.
Members who also enrolled using the Earned Merit Position (EMP) do not satisfy this requirement until they have completed their own EMP requirements and become Active Miners.
In other words:
❌ EMP-to-EMP sponsorship alone does not satisfy the qualification requirement.
Only Active Paid Members count toward the required Left and Right personally sponsored members.
Automatic Merit Activation
Once all Merit requirements have been completed, the system automatically:
• Triggers the member's first qualified commission.
• Uses the required portion of that commission to activate the member's initial 100 MH/s of Hash Power.
• Activates the member's mining account.
• Begins ISK mining.
• Unlocks future commission payouts.
• Unlocks Commission Preference settings (USDC, TXC or Hash Power).
No admin action is required.
Everything happens automatically.
What If Their First Commission Is Larger?
If the member's first qualified commission is worth more than what is required to activate the initial 100 MH/s of Hash Power, the system will:

First use only the amount necessary to activate the member's initial 100 MH/s of Hash Power.

Any remaining eligible commission will then be paid according to the current Iskander Compensation Plan and the member's selected Commission Preference.
No earned commissions are lost.
The system simply activates the initial mining position first, then pays the remaining commission normally.

Paid Mining Packages
Members who purchase a mining package receive:
✅ Immediate mining.
✅ Immediate commission eligibility.
✅ Immediate Commission Preference selection.
✅ No Merit qualification requirements.
Earned Merit Position (EMP)
Members selecting EMP:
✅ Begin building immediately.
✅ Receive a genealogy position immediately.
✅ Earn mining activation through participation.
❌ Do not mine until qualified.
❌ Do not receive commission payouts until qualified.
