Goldshell Mini Doge 3 Miner Setup Guide

The Mini Doge III is a Scrypt-algorithm miner rated 700 MH/s ±5%, drawing 400W ±5% (per Goldshell's official spec sheet). It connects to the TexitCoin merged-mining pool — pool.texitcoin.org — mining LTC directly, with DOGE merge-mined over the same connection. Only LTC and DOGE are paid out to you — per the pool's own notice, TXC and ISK are excluded from payouts because they're mined exclusively for chain security purposes. ZCU is also excluded from payout (payouts are limited to LTC and DOGE); the pool doesn't state a reason for ZCU specifically.

You'll need two of your own wallet addresses before you start — an LTC receive address and a DOGE receive address. Use a hot or hardware wallet you control, not an exchange address — many exchanges don't accept the small "dust" deposits mining payouts arrive in. The same wallet can hold both addresses. Wallets confirmed to support LTC and DOGE:

Hot wallet: Trust Wallet, Base (mobile app only), or Edge.

Hardware wallet: Tangem (recommended), Ledger, or Trezor.

STEP 1 — REGISTER YOUR WALLETS WITH THE POOL Before connecting your miner, register your LTC and DOGE addresses with the pool so your DOGE payouts are credited correctly. This is a one-time, per-pool registration — not per-miner. If you've already registered these addresses with this pool (for another miner, for instance), skip this step and reuse the same LTC address and token below.

  1. Go to pool.texitcoin.org/site/dogeRegister.

  2. Enter your LTC mining wallet address and your DOGE payout address, then answer the simple security question and submit. Both must be mainnet addresses — LTC begins with ltc1, L, M, or 3; DOGE begins with D, A, or 9. The pool validates each address against its coin wallet before registering it.

  3. Note: brand-new LTC/DOGE addresses only — each LTC address links to exactly one DOGE address. If already registered, use the DOGE-link panel on your wallet page instead.

  4. The confirmation screen shows your Permanent DOGE Token — labeled there as both "Permanent DOGE Token" and "Miner Password" (same value). Copy it down; you'll use it as the password in Step 3.

STEP 2 — SET UP THE MINER HARDWARE

  1. Unbox and confirm you have: the miner, a PSU with a 6-pin cable, an Ethernet cable, and an AC power cord.

  2. Connect the PSU to the miner and the Ethernet cable between the miner and your router, then plug in the AC power cord — it powers on automatically.

  3. Wait a few minutes for it to boot up and initialize.

  4. On a computer connected to the same local network as the miner, go to find.goldshell.com. It lists any Goldshell miners it detects, with their IP address (as columns: Miner / IP / UpdateTime / Setting).

  5. Click the miner's row (or its Setting link) to open its dashboard — or enter its IP address directly into your browser.

  6. Click Unlock and log in with Username: admin, Password: 123456789 (default — change it after setup under System).

STEP 3 — CONNECT TO THE POOL

In the miner's dashboard, go to Miner → Pool settings and click ADD to open the Pool Config box. It has four fields — Protocol, URL, Miner Name, and Password:

Protocol: stratum+tcp.

URL: pool.texitcoin.org:3433 (host and port together — there's no separate Port field).

Miner Name: your LTC wallet address by itself — no "@" symbol, nothing appended.

Password: dogelink=<your Permanent DOGE Token from Step 1>

  1. Click Apply (or Save) to store the pool entry.

  2. The pool status should turn green once it connects. If you need to reboot the miner, that's under System → Restart.

  3. Confirm it's mining: the dashboard's Home/Status page should show a hashrate near 700 MH/s and an active hashrate chart.

TROUBLESHOOTING NOTE If mining stops or hashrate drops sharply, check temperature and airflow first — Scrypt ASIC miners in this class throttle or stop under excess heat as a built-in safety measure.
