Installing the Android app

The Blockchain Mint app for Android is distributed directly from us — not from the Play Store. You download the installer file (an APK) from our website.

How to install

• On your Android phone, open the app website and tap 'Download for Android'.
• Your phone may warn about installing apps from your browser — this is normal for direct downloads. Allow the install when prompted.
• Open the downloaded file to install the app.

Updates

• The app checks for updates automatically and shows a notice when a new version is ready.
• Tap the notice to download and install the update — your coins and settings stay in place.
• Most changes arrive instantly without any update at all; APK updates are only needed for bigger changes.
