How to Accept Non-Stablecoin Cryptocurrency Payments Through Nectar Pay
Nectar Pay allows merchants to accept supported cryptocurrencies in addition to stablecoins. The process for enabling and accepting other cryptocurrencies is similar to accepting TXC.
The main difference is selecting the specific cryptocurrency and network you would like your business to accept.
Step 1: Log In to Nectar Pay
- Go to app.nectar-pay.com.
- Log in to your Nectar Pay account.
- Once logged in, you will be taken to the Overview page.
Step 2: Open Your Store Settings
- At the bottom of the screen, select Stores.
- Select the store you would like to configure.
- This will open your store settings.
Step 3: Enable Chain Settings
- Select Wallets & Chains.
- Locate the Slow Chains setting.
- Turn on Slow Chains, Except Mempool.
- Select Save to confirm your changes.
Step 4: Enable the Cryptocurrency
Once your chain settings have been configured:
- Locate the cryptocurrency you would like to accept.
- Select the appropriate cryptocurrency network.
- Make sure it is enabled.
- Select Save.
Your store is now configured to accept that supported cryptocurrency.
Example: Enabling TXC Native
For Texit Coin (TXC):
- Navigate to the Texit Coin (TXC) section.
- Select TXC Native.
- Make sure TXC Native is enabled.
- Select Save.
How to Accept a Cryptocurrency Payment
Once the cryptocurrency has been enabled and saved, you can accept it through your Nectar Pay terminal:
Enter Sale Amount → Charge → Select Cryptocurrency → Customer Scans QR Code → Payment Received
The customer will scan the QR code displayed on the Nectar Pay terminal using their cryptocurrency wallet to complete the payment.
Important
The cryptocurrency must be enabled and saved under Wallets & Chains before it will be available as a payment option on the Nectar Pay terminal.
The same basic process applies to other supported cryptocurrencies—the main difference is selecting the appropriate cryptocurrency and network.
